M. Louise (Lane) Nixon age 92 years died in the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Walpole, Massachusetts on Monday, August 17, 2009. Born in her parent's home in Watertown, Massachusetts on October 6, 1916; she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Olive Lane. She graduated from Somerville High School with the class of 1933. She has been a resident of East Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 59 years, summering in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
She was a homemaker for all of her adult life.
Mrs. Nixon enjoyed crocheting; however, she most especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late George Nixon, Sr. Loving mother of Peter and his wife Phyllis Nixon of East Walpole, James and his wife Gail Nixon of East Walpole, and the late Judith G. White. Cherished grandmother of 14, great grandmother of 27, and great great grandmother of 1. Sister of the late Pauline Widder and Olive Morse. Also survived by many nieces and neohews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the memorial service that will be held in the Union Congregational Church Rhodes Avenue East Walpole on Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 6:30PM. Interment will be private at the Seaside Cemetery in the Lanesville section of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, Massachusetts 02062. Arrangements by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home Walpole.
