Lois Anita (Minor) Bazilchuk, age 87, passed away peacefully in the Daggett Crandall Newcomb Home in Norton, Massachusetts on Wednesday, November 18, 2015. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut on September 28, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Robert Gibson and Anna (Lundy) Minor. She was raised and educated in Terryville, Connecticut, graduating from Terryville High School with the class of 1945. Lois continued her education at the Connecticut Teacher's College, graduating in 1949. After graduation, she took a position teaching Math and English at the Woodstock Academy in Connecticut.
Lois met the love of her life, Victor Bazilchuk, while he was working in Connecticut. They were married on July 12, 1952 and settled in Walpole, Massachusetts. After living in Walpole for a year, Lois and Victor built their home on Morningside Drive to raise their family.
After raising her children, Lois returned to teaching, taking a position as a substitute teacher in the Walpole Public School System. She later worked for the Foxboro Company as a secretary and retired in 1993.
Lois enjoyed sewing, knitting, fishing, tending to her flower garden, and ballroom dancing. However, she got her greatest joy from spending time with her grandchildren.

Loving mother of Carol Bitz of Spencer and Alyce Bazilchuk and her husband Tony Novello of Foxborough.
Cherished grandmother of Kyla and her husband Dan Rossi of Sturbridge, Victoria Novello, and Stephanie Novello both of Foxborough. Great grandmother of Christopher Rossi.
Sister of the late Roberta Harris and the late Robert Minor.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Lois' Life Celebration on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
