Linda Joyce Goldstein Potter, age 71, passed away in the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, New York on November 4, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Harry Goldstein and Ann Dauman Goldstein. She was raised in Long Beach, NY and graduated from Long Beach High School with the Class of 1963.
Linda started working in Manhattan even before graduating from high school and was very proud of her career working at the Garment Center in New York. She married Alan Weisenfeld and raised a family in Rego Park, NY and then Baldwin, NY before moving to La Jolla, CA. She divorced in 1980 and met and married John Potter circa 1983 in Beverly Hills, CA. Linda spent the next 20 years working many long hours often 7 days a week for various limousine companies and is fondly remembered as a sweet, kind and effective boss/manager by those that worked for her.
In 2013 Linda retired and relocated to New Holland, PA to live with her niece Debbie. Linda re-located to Medfield, MA in 2015 and was excited to be close to her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. In her time living in Medfield, she cherished the opportunity to walk around downtown and visit her favorite local hangout: Starbucks. While in the hospital, the thing that motivated her to keep fighting was that she would ultimately be rewarded with an iced vanilla latte.
