Lillian T. Lynch

February 14, 1936 — May 22, 2019

Lillian T. (McNeil) Lynch, age 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 in her Walpole, Massachusetts home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Norwood on February 14, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester McNeil and Lillian (Strachan) McNeil. Lillian was raised in Norwood and graduated with the Norwood High School Class of 1954.

A few years after graduation, Lillian married her husband, James E. Lynch, on May 18, 1957 at Saint Catherine’s Church in Norwood Center. She recently celebrated 62 years of marriage with Jimmy, the love of her life.  The young couple moved to Walpole to raise their family, welcoming their four children: Jeanne, Patricia, James, and Mark. Lillian worked as a secretary at A.H. Harris Building Supply, and later for Barletta Construction.

When she wasn’t hard at work, Lillian would delight her friends and family with her incredible baking skills, her specialty being her delicious lemon meringue pie. She was very kind and had a great sense of humor, which lent itself well to her Sunday night coffee club, a tradition she enjoyed for many years with her close friends. Upon retirement, Lillian and James would journey down to Florida in their mobile home every winter, enjoying the warmth and many beaches of Fort Pierce. Lillian was loved by many relatives and friends, and will be greatly missed.
