Mr. Leonard G. Bishop age 87 years died in the Caritas Norwood Hospital , Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 9th, 2010. Born on October 3, 1922 in Lynn , Massachusetts the son of William H. and his wife Gertrude (Beck) Bishop. Graduated from Everett High School with the Class of 1940. Entered into the United States Army Air Corp and served his country as a Sargeant during World War II.

A tester in the the Riverworks General Electric Plant in Lynn for many years and retired from there in 1984 as part of the management team. A resident of East Walpole for the past 5 years moving here from his life residence in Everett

Mr. Bishop is a member of the Masons in Everett, past involvement with the Everett Boy Scouts and a former Trustee of Eagle Bank in Everett

Beloved husband of Althea J. (Hand) Bishop Loving father of Allen L. and his wife Valerie J. (Conway) Bishop of East Walpole, and the late William L. Bishop Cherished grandfather of Joshua W. Bishop and Rebecca L. Bishop both of East Walpole Brother of the late Frances Jordan Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service that will be held in the United Church in Walpole 30 Common Street Walpole on Saturday, June 12, 2010 @ 11AM. Visiting hours are Friday, June 11, 2010, from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to: Caritas Visiting Nurse Association 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, Massachusetts 02062.
