Lawrence S. Huneck, Jr. age 86 years died in the VA Medical Center in West Roxbury, Massachusetts on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Born in Columbus, Ohio on December 1, 1925, he was the son of the late Lawrence S. and Dorothy J. (Smith) Huneck. Mr. Huneck proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart as a result of injuries sustained during combat. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for the past 9 years, having previously lived in Marshfield and Sudbury.
He worked as a sales representative for his company, Lawrence S. Huneck Associates, selling hydraulic presses. He had previously worked for Denison Engineering.
Mr. Huneck was a regular member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole and a member of the Knights of Columbus in Sudbury.
He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
Beloved husband of Barbara Jean (Eitle) Huneck. Loving father of Judith Lindblad and her husband Ronald of Westwood, Debra Acton and her husband Paul of Leland, NC, Christine Fleskes and her husband Hans of Dover, Susan Cusson and her husband Jim of Westborough, Cynthia Romeo of Walpole, Paul Huneck of Long Island City, NY, and the late Stephen Huneck. Cherished grandfather of 10.
