Larue E. Stier

Larue E. (Brigham) Stier, age 82 years, passed away at home on Sunday, July 14, 2013. Born in Portland, Oregon on January 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Leslie E. and Myrtle Marie (McNeal) Brigham. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, DC with the class of 1949. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Colorado State University with the class of 1953. She continued her education at Cornell University and earned her Master's Degree in 1955.

Her working career was spent as a chemist and nutritionist, working for Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. She retired from the National Institutes in 1992.

Beloved wife of Arthur W. Stier. Loving mother of Charlotte E. Reges of Catonsville, MD, Catherine A. Hichens of Sharon MA, Laura J. Stier of Fredericksburg, VA, Paul A. Stier of Fredericksburg, VA. Cherished grandmother of 8 and aunt of 18 nieces and nephews. Sister of Richens Brigham of St. George, UT, the late Martha Beamer, and the late James Brigham.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the memorial service at the Longyear Museum 1125 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467 on August 17th at 2PM.
