Kerry A. (Bates) Corriveau, age 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021 in her East Walpole, Massachusetts home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brookline, Massachusetts on June 24, 1963, she was the daughter of William Bates and Ruth Frances (Murphy) Brine. She was raised in Roslindale, where she was a member of the Sacred Heart Color Guard before graduating from Saint Clare High School with the Class of 1981. Following her graduation, Kerry began her career in bookkeeping, at G.P. Hale Fish Company on Boston’s Fish Pier. In the late 1980's Kerry returned to her education, taking accounting courses at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, where she earned her bachelor's degree in 1991. After earning her degree, Kerry took a position with Dunkin Brands in Randolph.
Kerry welcomed her son, Sean Thomas Corriveau, in 1999, and a year later they made their home in East Walpole. Kerry continued working with Dunkin Brands and also took night classes at Suffolk University, graduating with her master's degree in taxation in 2001. After Kerry left Dunkin Brands in 2003, she secured a position at the Dunkin Donuts Northeast Distribution Center as the Accounting Manager. After the Finance Department moved to GA, Kerry took her accounting skill set to Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville. In addition to working her full-time job, Kerry routinely served as a tax preparer at Tax Time in Walpole and later in Franklin. Most recently, Kerry worked as an accountant with TriMark in Mansfield.
While Kerry worked hard, her son, Sean, always came first. She spent countless hours volunteering with the Boy Scouts, Troop 97, where she served as a bookkeeper for several years. Most of all, she looked forward to weekend trips to the Cape with her family and close friends.
Loving mother of Sean Thomas Corriveau of East Walpole.
Devoted daughter of the late William Bates and Ruth Frances (Murphy) Brine.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Kerry's Life Celebration on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
As a result of the ongoing and ever developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, Kerry's family has decided that her funeral mass will be private, with interment taking place in Saint Joseph's Cemetery in West Roxbury.
