Kenneth S. Jones, age 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at his home in Oxford, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 30, 1958, he was the son of the late Frederick A. and Helen Ethel (Schelin) Jones. Ken was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1976.
Following his graduation, Ken took a position with the McClean Steel Company in Quincy, running the polishing machine. Ken remained with the company through the Nightingale Metals buyout, setting up shop in Rhode Island, running the polishing machine and the shear. He went on to take a position with Independent Pool Service, providing regular maintenance services, in addition to opening and closing pools each season. While home base was always Walpole, in more recent years, Ken made his home in Franklin and Oxford.
In his younger years, Ken loved seeking adventure, throwing his leg over his Harley Davidson to see where the road may take him. He looked forward to trying his luck at local casinos, finding "his" machine that he hoped would pay out. Sometimes his adventures were a little more subtle, whether finding a new fishing hole or taking a walk with his dog. Most of all, Ken enjoyed spending time with his friends.
Devoted son of the late Frederick A. and Helen Ethel (Schelin) Jones.
Loving brother of Diane Benenato and her husband, Vincent, of Dedham, Arthur F. Jones and his wife, Valerie, of Norton, and the late Jennifer Parquette and her surviving husband, Barry, of Milford, New Hampshire.
Cherished uncle of Vinnie, Bobby, Christopher, Kristin, Kevin, Kimberly, and Bradley.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Kenneth's Life Celebration on Monday, November 27th, 2023, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
At the request of Ken's family, his funeral service will be private, with interment taking place at Terrace Hill Cemetery in Walpole.
