Kenneth Earl Myers

December 10, 1947 — February 16, 2023

Kenneth Earl Myers, age 75, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at his home in Mansfield, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Newton, Massachusetts on December 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Norris and Ruth (Langel) Myers. He was raised in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, where he graduated from Bridgewater-Raynham High School with the Class of 1965.  Following his graduation, Ken attended East Coast Aerotech and was later drafted into the United States Navy, serving his country during the Vietnam War where he was shipped out to Guam.  Upon his return home to Bridgewater, Ken took a position with Dynisco, Inc, which is now in Franklin, and went on to make his home in Walpole, Massachusetts.

Ken married his beloved wife, Margaret Flaherty, on October 9, 1988, at the Union Congregational Church in East Walpole, Massachusetts.  Together, they made their home in Foxborough, where they welcomed two children, Rebecca and Nathan.  Sadly, Margaret passed away in 1995, and a year later, Ken settled into his house in Mansfield, where Ken became very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, helping many young men earn the rank of Eagle Scout. Ken continued his career at Dynisco until his retirement in 2015, after forty-five years of dedicated service.

Throughout his life, Ken was very involved with his church, Union Congregational, in East Walpole.  He traveled with his pastors on missions to northern New York, forming many friendships over the years.  Those friendships carried well beyond the sanctuary of the church, as Ken looked forward to fishing trips with the Grant's, the McNeil’s, the Keyworth's, the Hanson's, the Sandahl's, and the Turnquist's, whether it was on a frozen lake in New Hampshire or off the shores of Cape Cod and Rhode Island.  As an avid cribbage player Ken enjoyed playing with his friends while fishing and was a longtime member of the Foxborough Cribbage League.  More recently, Ken enjoyed working with stained glass, creating light fixtures, windows, and figures, which he proudly displayed around his home.

Beloved husband of the late Margaret F. (Flaherty) Myers.

Loving father of Rebecca Jean Holleran and her husband, Michael, of Middleborough, and Nathan Earl Myers of Mansfield.

Brother of the late Walter Myers, Nancy Ziegler and her husband Mel of Pawtucket, RI, Shirley Pejouhy and her husband Paul of Taunton, Faith Miller and her husband Bruce of South Easton, Wayne Myers and his wife Christina of Lakeville.

Cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
