Katrina King

Katrina "Kitty" (Kierys) King, age 69, died in the Sherrill House in Jamaica Plain on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, ending her battle with cancer. Born in Putnam, Connecticut on March 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Edwina Kierys of Norwood. She received her education from Norwood High School, graduating with the class of 1963. She later continued her education at Fisher Junior College, graduating in 1992, with her Associate's Degree in Business. She has been a resident of East Walpole for the past 49 years moving from Norwood.

Kitty was employed as an administrative assistant for many years, most recently at Dean's Home Furniture in Norwood. She had previously worked at OfficeMax in Walpole and Del Monte Foods in Norwood.

She enjoyed crocheting and spending time at the beach, especially the West Dennis Beach and the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and would especially love seeing her grandson, Dylan.

Katrina is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas S. King. She is also survived by her daughter Kathryn M. King of Belmont and daughter Melissa J. Muccioli, son in law Darren Muccioli and adoring grandson Dylan King Muccioli of Belmont. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Kierys of Norwood.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Kitty's Life Celebration on Sunday, May 18, 2014 from 2-6 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street, Walpole. Funeral service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sherrill House, 135 S. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
