Kathleen "Kathy" Gavin

Kathleen “Kathy” Gavin, age 68, passed away in the Brush Hill Care Center in Milton, Massachusetts on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.  Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on November 8, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Theodore E. and Helen (Chadwick) Gavin.  She was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts, graduating from Walpole High School with the Class of 1968.

 

Kathy made her home in East Walpole in the early 1970s before settling in Norwood, Massachusetts in 1982.  She spent her working career as an accountant, owning and operating her own business, Kathleen Gavin Accounting and Bookkeeping Services for more than 20 years.  Most recently, in 2014, Kathy moved to Milton, Massachusetts to be closer to her family.

 

Devoted daughter of the late Theodore E. and Helen (Chadwick) Gavin.

Loving sister of Elizabeth Butler of Milton, Theodore Gavin of Sacramento, California, John Gavin of Cumberland, Rhode Island, Robert Gavin of Chelsea, Vermont, Eunice Gavin of South Royalton, Vermont, Mary Gavin of Sharon, Vermont, Helen Nurse of San Antonio, Texas, and the late Mark Gavin.

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Kathy’s Memorial Mass in Saint Timothy’s Church, 650 Nichols Street, Norwood on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10:30 AM.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted and interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington DC 20090-8018.
