Kathleen Ann Falcione, age 70, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017, with her loving family by her side. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 27, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Anna Corso. She was raised by her foster mother, Meda Welch, in the Mission Hill section of Boston and later in the Hyde Park section of Boston, where she graduated from Hyde Park High School with the Class of 1965.
Kathie married Donald Falcione on May 2, 1970, and the couple welcomed their children, Krista in 1970 and Kami in 1972. Kathie made her home in Milton, Massachusetts in 1977, where she raised her family. In addition to being a wonderful mother to her daughters, Kathie also began working as a medical biller at the Faulkner Hospital and Newton Wellesley Surgeons.
In 2001, Kathie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer, however her strength and courage persevered and she survived with the help of her loving daughters. She was overjoyed as her family support system grew again in 2007 and 2008 as she welcomed her first and second granddaughters, Brooke and Kelsie. After her retirement in 2015, she moved from her home of 38 years in Milton to settle in Plainville to be closer to her family. Most recently in 2016, Kathie welcomed her third granddaughter, Ashlyn.
In her downtime, Kathie loved to travel, read, play scrabble, watch movies, and dance to her favorite disco music. Most important, however, was her family, she loved shopping with her two daughters and enjoyed sitting down to enjoy a Sunday meal together, which she had lovingly prepared. The meal that she was known for preparing was her delicious homemade sauce and meatballs, after which she made her famous pistachio cake for dessert.
