June M. (Ellis) Landry, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Doolittle Home in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Born in Franklin, Massachusetts on May 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Young) Ellis. June was raised in Franklin, where she attended Franklin High School.
June married the love of her life, Clifford W. Landry, on December 15, 1951, at the age of 17. The young couple made their home in Franklin and June took a position with Whiting and Davis, a jewelry company, in Plainville. She went on to work at a shoe company in Milford, however, after welcoming her children, Rena and Clifford, Jr., June transitioned to the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her family.
In 1968, the Landry family moved to Norfolk, Massachusetts and as her children grew up, June took a part-time position driving a school bus. Three years later, in 1971, June and Cliff opened Cliff's Package Store in Norfolk, operating the business together for three years. June and Cliff made their home in Walpole, Massachusetts in 1997 and later settled into Sunset Acres in Plainville in 2008. They returned to Walpole in 2016, but always looked forward to spending their winters in Sanford, Florida, escaping the snow and cold of New England.
Throughout her life, June shared an incredibly special bond with her husband, Cliff, as they were truly made for each other. Almost every weekend, June and Cliff packed up their buggy, turning to Cape Cod, where they enjoyed a day of fishing from the shoreline alongside their fellow Mass Beach Buggy Association members.
While spending time at the beach with her friends was always fun, June enjoyed some indoor excitement as well. She loved taking trips to Foxwood's Resort and Casino in Connecticut, trying her luck to see if she could win big. Back at home, June regularly gathered with her closest friends to play a hand or two of cards, enjoying the company and laughs along the way.
Most of all, June was devoted to her family, cherishing every moment surrounded by those she loved. Whether in Walpole with her son or in Florida with her daughter, June's family could always bring a smile to her face.
