Juliette Suzanne Bourgeois

Juliette Suzanne (Gralla) Bourgeois, age 44, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 25, 1970, she was raised in Walpole and attended Blessed Sacrament School. She later graduated from Tri County Regional High School with the class of 1989, focusing on cosmetology. Julie went on to earn her cosmetology license in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island, working in selected hair salons.

In 1991, Juliette and her former husband, John Bourgeois, purchased a home in Warwick, Rhode Island, and shortly thereafter, in 1992, Juliette began taking courses toward her Medical Assistant Degree at the Sawyer School. After she graduated in 1994, she served her internship at Thundermist Health Center in Woonsocket, working in both the dental and pediatrics departments.
She took the position of school nurse at the Blessed Sacrament School in Walpole, before taking a position with Planned Parenthood in Providence. While working at Planned Parenthood, Julie served in multiple capacities, she continued as a Medical Assistant and also aided in the role of a counselor and advocate.

On July 3, 1999, Julie married her husband, Scott A. Malo, they made their home together along with her two daughters, Angelique and Jacqueline in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Julie would regularly volunteer her time at the Veterans Center in Providence, where she earned an award for her outstanding service in occupational therapy. Following her volunteer work, Julie lectured for several years at Butler Hospital, in forums to educate doctors and patients on bipolar disorder.

As a talented musician, Julie loved playing the flute, guitar and piano. She also enjoyed singing and writing both music and poetry. She was also a gifted artist, working in several mediums to create beautiful paintings. Julie enjoyed tending to her flower and herb gardens, and would harvest her herbs to make natural remedies.

Most of all, Julie was a devoted mother to her two girls, and will be remembered for her heart of gold, great sense of humor, and the love and generosity that she gave to all.

Loving mother of Angelique Bourgeois of Millis and Jacqueline Bourgeois of Dayville, CT and former wife of John Bourgeois of Franklin, MA.
Devoted daughter of Suzanne Gralla of Franklin and Thomas Gralla and his wife Kathleen of South Attleboro.
Cherished grandmother of Saydee Marie and Bradley Francis.
Loving sister of Nicole Haywood and her husband George of Taunton.
Aunt of Alexi Haywood.
Step Sister of Eric and his wife Tonya Smith of Warwick, RI and Kristie and her husband Bradley Swim of IL.
Close friend of Patricia Wallwork of Franklin and Jamie Guillet of Cumberland, RI.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Julie's Life Celebration on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2-5PM and Monday, November 2, 2015 from 11-11:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole, on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: The Brain Injury Association of RI, 1017 Waterman Ave, E. Providence, RI 02914.
