Judith Marie Riley

Judith Marie Riley, age 77, passed away peacefully in the Pond Home in Wrentham, Massachusetts on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. and Anne J. (Slattery) Riley.  She was raised in the Hyde Park area of Boston and graduated from Saint Joseph’s Academy in Roxbury with the Class of 1959.

 

Following her graduation, Judy took a position with the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston.  While working her full-time job in the treasury department, Judy attended night school at Quincy Junior College, earning her associate’s degree.  She continued working at John Hancock for more than thirty years before her retirement, when she settled in Walpole.

 

When Judy wasn’t hard at work, she enjoyed traveling with her close friends.  Back at home, she loved being surrounded by her family and especially loved the time she spent with her nieces and nephews.

 

Devoted daughter of the late Walter M. and Anne J. (Slattery) Riley.

Loving sister of Mary Ann Burke of East Walpole.

Cherished aunt of five nieces and nephews, 13 grand nieces and nephews, and one great grandnephew.
