Joyce E. Stanton

Joyce E. (Bowley) Stanton age 77 years died in the Charlwell House in Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on September 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen (Rhueame) Bowley. She graduated from Roslindale High School with the class of 1953. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1960.

She was the administrative assistant for the Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and the Emergency Room in the Norwood Hospital. She retired in 1993 with 18 years of service. While working at the hospital, as well as after her retirement, she would dance in the hospital shows. She especially enjoyed tap dancing.

Mrs. Stanton enjoyed collecting dolls and antiques, sewing, and knitting. She also enjoyed staying active by ice skating, swimming, and skiing.

Beloved wife of John H. Stanton. Loving mother of Cheryl Brown of Denver, CO., Donna Stanton, Marylou Brunetta both of Stuart, FL, Michael Stanton and Brian Stanton both of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of 12 and great grandmother 1. Sister of Janet McGowan of Billerica and Diane Morris of Port St Lucie, FL.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 4 to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Foxboro.
