Joseph J. Pacella age 67 years died in his Middleboro, Massachusetts home on Monday, September 3, 2012. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Michael and Celia Ann (DiPlasido) Pacella. He graduated from the Cornwall Academy in Great Barrington, Massachusetts with the class of 1963. Mr. Pacella proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a helicopter gunner with the 1st Calvary. He has been a resident of Middleboro, Massachusetts for the past 6 years moving there from Plainville.

He owned and operated Jos. Pacella Trucking and previously Allecap Excavating.

Mr. Pacella was a member of the American Legion in Sharon and the VFW in Foxborough.

He had a passion for cars, motorcycles, and trucks and enjoyed racing cars in the past. He was dedicated to his work and enjoyed watching the Patriots and discussing politics. Most of all he was a family man, who loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and friends.

Beloved husband of Mary E. (Rodney) Pacella. Loving father of Michael Pacella of Foxborough, Darlene Pacella of Foxborough, Gina Sferrazza of Foxborough. Cherished grandfather of 7. Step father of Bryan Keefe and Stephanie McHalle. Brother of Michael Pacella of Westford, and Richard Pacella of Foxborough, and the late Elizabeth Cipolla.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:30AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 3-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in the Shepardville Cemetery in Plainville. Memorial donations may be made to: American Cancer Society Massachusetts Chapter 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
