Joseph F. Carchedi

JOSEPH F. CARCHEDI AGE 70 YEARS DIED AT THE BOSTN MEDICAL CENTER, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS ON Saturday, February 11, 2006. Born in Filadelfia, Italy, on November 21, 1935, he moved to the United States of America. He graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1955. He entered into the United States Army and served his new country, in Germany. Once returned to the US he entered Northeastern University, Boston, and earned a degree in Civil Engineering, class of 1968.

A retired Structural Engineer for Badger Engineering a division of Ratheon. He retired in 1997 with over 28 years of service.

Mr. Carchedi's greatest love was being a grandfather. He enjoyed watching the Red Sox, Patriots, and being a Boston Sports Fan. He also loved photography, taking and collecting pictures of his children and grandchildren.

Beloved husband of Mary A. (Passalia) Carchedi Loving father of Annette Gagnier of Wrentham, Lisa Poletynski of Wrentham, Mary Jo Steir of Hopkinton, and John Carchedi of Norwood. Cherished grandfather of Sara, Stephen, Kate, Emma,and Sean. Devoted son of Maria (Miaolo) Carchedi of Norwood and the late John Carchedi brother of Palma Ciolfi of Norwood, Anthony Carchedi of Clinton and Frank Carchedi of Plainfield, Indiana

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church on Thursday, February 16, 2006 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Wednesday, February 15, 2006 4pm to 8pm at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Highland Cemetery, Norwood, Massachusetts.
