John M. Talkowski

John M. Talkowski, Jr., age 81 years, died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 2, 1932, he was the son of the late John M. and Jane (Szyszko) Talkowski. He graduated from Boston English High School with the class of 1950 and continued his education at the Bentley School of Business. John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany and was honorably discharged as a Corporal in 1955.

He worked as an accountant for 30 years at the Reese Corporation in Waltham. He retired in 1988. After his retirement, John worked as a custodian for the Town of Norwood in both the Police Station and the Town Hall, until he retired in 1999.

Beloved husband of Barbara B. (Varna) Talkowski. Loving father of Arlene G. Rea and her husband Wesley R. of Franklin and Karen L. Talkowski of Walpole. Cherished grandfather of Stephanie A. Rea, Jennifer L. Rea, and Christine A. Rea all of Franklin. Brother of the late Joseph Talkowski.
