John L. Keefe

John L. Keefe, age 84, died in his Walpole, Massachusetts home on Monday, December 8, 2014. Born in Hingham, Massachusetts on July 14, 1930, he was the son of the late William and Helen (McCormick) Keefe. He graduated from Hingham High School with the class of 1948, where he lettered in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. After high school, John continued his education first at Texas Military College then at Boston College, earning his his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majoring in Accounting in 1953. Once he graduated from BC, John proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1955 as a 1st Lieutenant. He returned to school after serving in the Army and graduated from Columbia University with his MBA in 1956 and earned his PhD in Higher Education from BC in 1996.
