John L. Gillis, Jr. of Walpole October 2, 2011, age 79.

He was a Korean War Air Force Veteran.

Beloved husband of Anne M. (Herbert) Gillis. Devoted son of the late John L. and Claire M.(Livingston) Gillis. Loving father of Paul B. Gillis of Medfield, Donald E. Gillis of Walpole, Judith A. Gillis of Walpole, Kenneth J. Gillis of Walpole, and Nancy L. Nguyen of Texas. Cherished grandfather of Nancy, Kenneth, Justin, Sherry, Michelle, and the late Raymond, and great grandfather of Conner. Brother of James Gillis of Stoughton, Jaqueline Woods of Dedham, Elizabeth Gillis of Dedham, and the late Thomas Gillis. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral from the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street, WALPOLE on Friday at 9AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Timothy's Church Norwood at 10AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM. Interment is in Saint Joseph's Cemetery West Roxbury.
