John B. Connors

December 10, 1919 — March 16, 2006

JOHN B. CONNORS AGE 86 YEARS DIED his Residence on Thursday, March 16th, 2006. Born in Malden, Massachusetts on December 10, 1919, the son of the late Michael J. & Mary A. (Sullivan) Connors. A 1937 graduate of Malden High School, he attended both Bentley College and Northeastern University, both located in the Boston Area.

Mr. Connors served his country as a Sargeant in the United States Army during World War II and then as a Sargeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was buried with Military Honors from both branches of the Service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery @ Bourne.

A Resident of Walpole since 1953. Mr. Connors retired in 1985 as the Vice President of Fleet Bank where he had worked for over 18 years. He had worked at South Shore Bank and for MultiBank prior to Fleet.

Mr. Connors was a former member of the Walpole Council 1319 of the Knights of Columbus and was presently still a member of the Blessed Sacrament Choir.

Beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Cronin) Connors Loving father of Brian J. and his wife Mary E. (Kappes) Connors of Danville, New Jersey, and Steven J. and his wife Mari Connors of Walpole Cherished grandfather of Andrew Connors of Danville, New Jersey, and David Connors of Walpole Brother of Mary Rose Hurley of Stoneham, Andrew F. Connors of Duxbury, and the late James Connors, the late Michael Connors, the late Matthew Connors, the late Margaret Haley, and the late Katherine Connors Also survived by many nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church Walpole on Monday, March 20, 2006 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, March 19, 2006 2pm to 6pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Massachusetts National Cemetery @ Bourne. Memorial donations may be made to: the American Cancer Society 20 Speen Street Framingham, Massachusetts 01701.
