John Steven Colonna, age 68, of Stoughton, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Born in Framingham, Massachusetts on June 14, 1952, he was the son of the late Armando and Frances (Perry) Colonna. He was raised in Framingham, where he graduated from Framingham South High School with the Class of 1972.
Following his graduation, John worked as an automotive mechanic for several years before returning to his education. He enrolled in Northeastern University's School of Business, where he earned his bachelor's degree. With his degree in hand, John took a position with Data General in Southboro and began taking courses to earn his MBA at Northeastern. He later worked at On Technology in Boston and Elron Software, Inc. in Burlington, before retiring from Vertex in Boston in 2005.
John married his beloved wife, Diane C. Conradson on August 18, 2002 at the Salem Cross Inn in Brookfield, Massachusetts and, together, they made their home in Stoughton, Massachusetts.
Throughout his life, John loved cars and motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons. He also loved animal, having several cats over the years. Most of all, John treasured his family, always looking forward to spending time surrounded by those he loved so much.
Beloved husband of Diane C. (Conradson) Colonna.
Loving brother of Michael Colonna and his wife, Cathy, of Northbridge and the late Richard Colonna.
Cherished uncle of Michael Colonna, Jr. and his wife, Jane, Brian Colonna and his significant other, Albana Bandilla, Bruce Colonna, and Tony Colonna and his wife, Emily; and great uncle of Joseph Colonna, Sampson Colonna, Izebela Bandilla, and Brianna Douglas.
Son in law of Richard Conradson of Sharon and brother-in-law of Carol Conradson of Pawtucket, and Lynne Tetreault of Sharon.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend John's visitation on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 5 to 7 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole.
As a result of the ongoing and ever-developing health crisis in the world and with genuine concern for the people whom they love, John's family has decided that his funeral service will be private.
