John F. Caton

John F. Caton age 87 years died in his Foxborough, Massachusetts home on Sunday, July 28, 2013. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 28, 1925, he was the son of the late John F. and Mary (Bingham) Caton. He graduated from Roslindale High School with the class of 1942. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He has been a resident of Foxborough since 1983 and enjoyed wintering in Davenport, Florida.

John was the Foreman at the Boston Herald for 40 years, and was a member of the Boston Mailer's Union Local 1.

He was also a member of the DAV and American Legion in Davenport, Florida.

John loved camping, and was a member of the Fan Trailer Club, Gulf Stream Trailer Club, and Good Sam's Club.

Beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Richardson) Sutherland and the late Ruth G. (Cavanaugh) Caton. Loving father of Mary Ellen Pence of Barrington, NJ, John F. Caton, Jr., Gerald Caton both of Wakefield, and Christine Danas of Wilmington. Step father of Leslie Tarde of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Beth Estrella of Pawtucket. Cherished grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 1. Brother of Patricia Moran of Mansfield, William Caton of Medway, and the late Anna Twiss.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend John's Life Celebration on Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 8-8:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church 10 Diamond Street Walpole on Thursday at 9AM. Interment will be in Saint Patrick's Cemetery in Stoneham. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey 197 Route 18 South, Suite 206 North, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
