John D. Belmore, 70, of Walpole , died Thursday, November 5, in the Harrington House, Walpole. John was born September 4, 1945 in Brockton, the only child of Harry and Irene (Lyons) Belmore. He graduated from Brockton High School with the class of 1963. He met his wife Donna when they were 15 and 16 years old and they were married on September 30, 1967 and settled in Walpole. In his early years in Walpole John was a coach of Little League.
John spent his career as a sales executive and traveled widely in the medical technology field. In his later years he worked at Hub Grinding Service in Walpole, which he greatly enjoyed.
He is survived by his wife Donna M. (Hansen), and was the beloved father of Kelly A. Landry and her husband John of Norwood, Heather M. Grassi and her husband Joseph of Bellingham, and the late Mark P. Belmore. He was the cherished Grandpa of Alexis, Mia, Harley, Sean, Joey, and Trinity, and in addition was a foster grandfather who adored his foster granddaughter.
John is also survived by his sister-in-law Karen Lamonica of Walpole, and his brother-in-law Michael Hansen of Cambridge, several friends and cousins, 2 nephews, 1 niece, and 3 great-nieces.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend John's Life Celebration on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 10-11AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street Walpole. A funeral home service will follow at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Saint Francis Cemetery.
