JOHN L. ALBERTO AGE 65 YEARS died at Caritas Norwood Hospital Norwood, Massachusetts on Saturday, May 13th, 2006. Born in Hyde Park , Massachusetts on September 16, 1940, the son of the late Rocco & Stella (Bencoski) Alberto

Mr. Alberto is a resident of Walpole and formerly East Walpole.

A 1958 Graduate of Hyde Park High School. He started working at the age of 17 in the construction business. He became a crane operator and worked out of Local 4 in Boston for the IUOE. Once the construction industry was slow he took a chance and took his dream to a reality. Opened a restaurant in Marshfield called Alberto's Restaurant. For 5 years in the mid 1970's he and his famiy ran the restaurant. In 1979 til his retirement in 2003, he and his family operated Juniper Ridge Food Service , they were the catering company for the Needham Golf Club and later the Braintree Golf Club.

Mr. Alberto loved sports especially his Boston Team, the Red Sox , the Patriots. He especially loved to cook, but the one thing that truly made him happy was his family time, his grandchildren, the Christmas Eves and all holiday gathering with family. His great sense of humor , his selfless as a person, and that he would help anyone at anytime , no questions asked , and no task to big, gave him his character.

Beloved husband of Ann S. (Rockwell) Alberto Loving father of Anthony M. Alberto of Rehoboth, Deborah L. Stirrat of Saugus, Janice Mahondro of Bellingham, John L. Alberto, Jr. of Walpole, Robin M. Verdone of Attleboro,and Kristin A. Olinger of Munroe, North Carolina. Cherished grandfather of 13 Brother of Mary Anne Alberto of Walpole and the late Todd Alberto

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church Rt 27 at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 @ 10 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, May 16, 2006 from 4 to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole . Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton, Massachusetts.
