Joanne M. Dowling

Miss Joanne M. "Aunt Jo" Dowling age 68 years died at her residence in New York City New York on Thursday, August 12, 2010. Born in South Boston, Massachusetts on December 14, 1941, the daughter of Edward A. and Catherine J. (Donovan) Dowling. She was a 1958 graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School and earned her college degree at Saint Joseph's College in Maryland.

Miss Dowling was with the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent dePaul, and was currently working at Saint Luke Roosevelt Hospital and the Covenent House International both in New York City.

Living in New York City for past 36 years, and was about to move back to Massachusetts.

Daughter of the late Edward A. and Catherine J. (Donovan) Dowling. Sister of K. Ellen Foster of Walpole and Edward A. Dowling of Buzzards Bay. Aunt of Donna-Marie Hennessy of Medford, Denise Vierra of Attleboro, Tina McMichen of Buzzards Bay, and Cathy Dowling of Quincy and grand aunt of 5.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route #27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 @ 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 4-8PM at James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
