Joan Snuffer

Mrs. Joan (Schwenderman) Snuffer age 67 years died in the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, April 23, 2010. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 13, 1943, she was the daughter of Leo and Anna V.(Mackey) Schwenderman.

A resident of Walpole for the past 40 years she moved from South Boston.

Mrs. Snuffer provided a wonderful home and homelife for her husband and children. Her greatest joy came from her grandchildren.

Joan was a known jewlery historian and the creator of Nana's Bracelets for Caitlin.

Beloved wife of Clifton K. Snuffer. Loving mother of Karen Cleary, Clifton K. and his wife Deneen T. Snuffer, III , Michelle M. and her husband Gerard C. McDonough all of Walpole, Steven K. Snuffer of Milford, and Susan A. and her husband Joseph McCarthy of Walpole. Cherished grandmother of Mark J. and his wife Jacquie Cleary of FL , Jessica and her husband Christopher Pyrcz of Walpole, Heather L. Cleary of FL, Gerard C. McDonough, Jr., Olivia D Snuffer, Molly A. McDonough, Matthew J. McCarthy, Clifton K. Snuffer, IV, Daniel K. McCarthy, and Caitlin E. McCarthy all of Walpole. Sister of Peter and his wife Marion Schwenderman of Taunton, Robert Schwenderman of Seattle, the late Lee Schwenderman, and the late Ann Mullen. Also survived by many other loving family members.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Rt #27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 @ 11AM. Visiting hours are Monday, April 26, 2010 from 4pm to 8pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment is in Terrace Hill Cemetery, Walpole.
