Joan Marie Brown

Joan Marie (Aspell) Brown, age 82, died in the Harrington House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, March 16, 2015. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Louise (Masters) Aspell. She was raised in West Roxbury and graduated from West Roxbury High School with the class of 1951.

She took a job with Sears in Boston after high school, where she met her soon to be husband George T. Brown. They were married in 1955 and made their home in California for 5 years. Joan and George returned to Massachusetts and settled in Roslindale before moving to Walpole in 1972.

In 1983, Joan began a day care based in her home in Walpole, which she operated until she and George moved to Foxborough in 2000. After her husband's passing, Joan moved to Norwood in 2011.

Most important to Joan was her family, she cherished the time that she spent with them, especially her grandchildren.

Cherished grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 1.
