Jeremiah V. Walsh

Jeremiah V. "Jerry" Walsh age 80 years died in Belmont, Massachusetts on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Born in Bristol, Connecticut on November 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Mary (Lamb) Walsh. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts for 40 years moving from Quincy.

Mr. Walsh worked as a truck driver for the Teamsters, working with Yellow Freight for over 45 years. He retired in 1993.

He was a loving father and grandfather and loved spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Grady) Walsh. Loving father of Stephen J. and his wife Ann Walsh of Marshfield, and Stacy and her husband Donnell Murphy of Walpole. Cherish grandfather of Saylor, Emery, Grady, Elizabeth, and Michelle. Brother of Sheila Sones of Harwich, Jean Mack of Weymouth, Ethel Delaney of Weymouth, Patrick Walsh of Quincy, John Walsh of Boston and Billy Walsh of Abington. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5 to 8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be private.
