Jeffrey A. Mattson

Jeffrey A. Mattson, age 61, passed away suddenly at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Thursday, August 23, 2018. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on December 17, 1956, he was a life-long resident of Walpole, Massachusetts, graduating from Walpole High School with the Class of 1974. He continued his education at the University of Massachusetts at Boston, earning his Bachelor's Degree in 1978.

Jeff spent many years working for the Town of Walpole's School Department, serving as a custodian. He also spent countless hours volunteering for the Town of Walpole at the polls during elections.

While at home, Jeff loved taking care of his flower gardens and spending time with his dogs.

Devoted son of Teresa M. (Presentato) Mattson of Walpole and the late Henry E. Mattson.
Brother of the late Peter Dale Mattson.
Also survived by many members of his extended family, including his Aunt Vera DeRosa of West Dennis.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jeff's visiting hours on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 4 to 7 PM and Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 9 to 9:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
