It is with the utmost sadness that Jeanne Anita (Healey) Hope, age 83, of Walpole MA passed away on September 30, 2023. Born at Norwood Hospital on January 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Dennis Healey and Emma Moody.
Beloved wife of George N. Hope of 64 years. Together they raised their children enjoying family gatherings, camping, snowmobiling, and beach outings alongside her long-time best friend Maureen McKenna and family.
She cherished family, relatives, and friends, entertaining them with her passion and talent for homemade cooking and baking. On high demand were her cream cheese brownies, jelly cookies, and three-layer carrot cake. She found pleasure in making her family and grandchildren homemade decorative birthday cakes. She was also a talented self-taught seamstress with a passion for sewing intricate items, from Halloween costumes, Roman Shades, doll clothes, to car seat covers. She also had a passion for antique collecting and the hunt to find that special piece.
She found joy having her grandchildren for sleepovers, stuffing them with her delicious baked goodies. Her caring heart always found her helping or doing something for someone, including helping the elderly, providing them with homemade meals, shopping, and transportation needs, always opening her home and heart to those when needed.
She enjoyed years of waitressing with her best friend and furthered her employment as an optometrist assistant and insurance administrator. She retired in 1998 continuing her passions and cherishing her time with her family, relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Loving Mother of George N. Hope Jr. and partner Judith Whitmarsh of Norton, MA; Kenneth W. Hope and wife Martha of Huntington Beach, CA; Dyanne White and husband Robert of Wrentham, MA.
Cherished Grandmother of Chelsey White, Joseph Crehan, Christian Crehan, Victoria Hope, Morgan Hope, Sean Jacobs, and Kathleen Jacobs.
