Jean L. Horan-Cuff

Jean L. (Beaton) Horan-Cuff age 83 years died in the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Massachusetts on Thursday, November 21, 2013. Born on December 24, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Jane (MacDonald) Beaton. She was raised and educated in Dorchester, graduating from Roxbury Memorial High School. Jean enjoyed bowling from a young age and continued to bowl through most of her life. She married her husband Charles in 1954 and they moved their young family to Walpole, Massachusetts in 1965.

Jean worked as a technician, employed by AT&T, for 30 years. She retired in 1992. In addition, she was a waitress at the Twin Lanterns, Dimitri's, and the Lord Fox.

She has been a resident of Plymouth since 1989 and would spend the winters in Clearwater, Florida. She married her husband Paul in 1993. In her retirement she enjoyed golfing and her social life. Most of all, Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Charles A. Horan and the late Paul Cuff. Loving mother of Charles A. Horan, Jr. and his wife Ann-Marie of Brighton, Claire M. Richardson and her husband the late Bernard Richardson, Jr. of Walpole, Donna J. Hand and her husband Richard of East Walpole, and Richard S. Horan and his wife Marilyn of Brighton. Cherished grandmother of Sean, Matthew, Dawn-Marie, Michael, Adriana, Carly, Derek, Kristen, and Richard, Jr. Sister of the late Marie Graham and the late Donald Beaton.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jean's Life Celebration on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 4-8PM and Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 8-8:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington St. E. Walpole on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
