Jane C. Darcy

Jane C. (Grady) Darcy of Walpole passed away peacefully on October 2, 2021 after reaching her 81st birthday. She was born on September 30, 1940. The daughter of the late Catherine (Feeney) and James Grady.

Loving mother of Mary Jane Martin of Marshfield, Susan Esty and her husband James of Walpole and Patricia O’Brien and her husband William of Norwood.

Cherished grandmother of her seven grandchildren whom she referred to as “the frosting on the cake”. Nicole, Kelly and Luke Esty of Walpole, Brian and Jessica Martin of Marshfield, Patrick and Tommy O’Brien of Norwood.

Sister of James J. Grady of Norwood, John Grady and his wife Mary of Westwood, formerly of Hyde Park. She is predeceased by brothers David and Richard.
She also leaves the father of her children, Donal Darcy of Naples, Florida.

Devoted cousin and aunt to many nieces and nephews and Godchildren that she loved so much.

Jane was born in Boston and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. She worked for the Boston Gas Company before leaving to raise her family. She also worked as a receptionist at local nursing homes, enjoying all of the families she met. She raised her family in Westwood before moving to Walpole twenty years ago

Jane will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed by all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian burial which will be celebrated on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole, MA 02081. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery Walpole, MA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to either Old Colony Hospice and Palliative Care, 321 Manley Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379 or the Sisters of St. Joseph, 637 Cambridge Street, Boston, MA 02135
