James F. Snow Jr., age 52, passed away on Tuesday June 23, 2020 at his Norwood, Massachusetts home. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 5, 1968, he was the son of the late James and Janice L. (Vanasse) Snow. He was raised in the Roslindale area of Boston and attended West Roxbury High School. Jimmy later settled in Walpole, Massachusetts and began his career working as a laborer in various warehouses. More recently, he moved to Norwood and took a position with Osprey Wireless in Westwood, working as an assembler. While Jimmy stayed busy with work, he always found time to tinker with and build many items. As a jack of all trades, he could fix anything and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Throughout his life, Jimmy loved the classics, old cars, old movies, old shows, and old country music. He also enjoyed fishing, taking any opportunity to cast his line. Most of all, he was an all around great guy, who had a strong passion for good coffee.
Father of Cory Distasio of Roslindale and Cody Snow of Milford.
Grandfather of Haillee Snow of Roslindale.
Brother of Vallory J. Snow of New York, NY, Deborah D. Walsh of Walpole, John R. Snow of Weymouth, the late Linda L. Doxtater, and the late Cynthia A. Snow.
Devoted companion of Darlene Leonard of Norwood.
Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
At the request of Jimmy's family all funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
