James L.. Foley age 85 years died in the Epoch Senior Healthcare Facility in Sharon, Massaschusetts on Sunday, February 3, 2008. He was born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 20, 1922 to his parents Patrick and Esther (Mattson) Foley. He attended Northeastern University. Mr. Foley served his country during World War II in the United States Army, and earned the Bronze Star. He had been living in Walpole since 1955 orginally coming from Norwood.
He worked at the Kendall Company and later opened his own textile company called Feltloc, which was located in Rhode Island, retiring with 32 years of service in the textile industry.
Mr. Foley enjoyed carpentry, painting, playing the guitar and singing, and lawn mower repair, but he especailly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He was active in both the Walpole Senior Center and local politics.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral service that will be held in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole on Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park Canton.
