James Michael Finn, Jr.,"Huck," age 60, passed away in his Walpole, Massachusetts home on Sunday, July 3, 2016, surrounded by his family, after losing his battle with cancer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 12,1955, he was the son of the late James Michael and Shirley (Quigley) Finn. Jimmy was raised in Roslindale and graduated from Roslindale High School with the Class of 1973.
Shortly after graduation, Jimmy met Sharrie Wilcox, and they fell in love. They were married on December 1, 1979 in Clinton, Connecticut and made their home in West Roxbury, Massachusetts. They welcomed their daughter, Shannon, in1981 and their son, James Michael, in 1983. Jimmy worked various jobs supporting his young family until he took a position with the Boston Fire Department in the Fire Alarm Division in December of 1983. In 1994, Jimmy and Sharrie moved their young family to Walpole, Massachusetts, where he loved spending time with them on their back porch laughing and joking. Jimmy retired from the Boston Fire Department in 2014, after providing dedicated service to the City of Boston for over 30 years.
In his spare time, Jimmy loved riding his Harley Fat Boy, spoiling his Great Danes, watching the Patriots in the Fall and working with his wife to make their dream home. Most of all, he treasured the time that he spent with his family. Sharrie was the greatest love of his life: and they did everything together. He always looked forward to the many trips they took to Mills Falls, NH and the Caribbean. Every year Jimmy would take everyone north to Camp Wulamat in Bristol, New Hampshire which had been a tradition throughout his life. As a loving father, he never missed Mike's games and enjoyed spending the afternoon with Shannon watching the Patriots.
