James O. DeVito

James O. "Jim" DeVito age 50 years died in the Boston Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, December 30, 2012. He was born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 20, 1962. He graduated from Hingham High School with the class of 1980 and went on to attend North Adams State College. He has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 2009 moving from Holliston.

He was a Senior Partner at the New York Life Insurance Company for 15 years.

Jim loved playing golf and was an avid New England Sports fan. Most of all, he loved spending time with his kids.

Beloved husband of Amy E. (Monahan) DeVito. Loving father of Emily L. DeVito, Christopher J.O. DeVito both of Walpole and Anthony J. DeVito of Hull. Devoted son of the late Joan F. (Garofalo) DeVito and James R. DeVito. Brother of Michael J. DeVito and his wife Jill F. of Rockland and Donna M. Driscoll and her husband George J. of Rockland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Timothy's Church 650 Nichols Street Norwood on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11:30 AM. Visiting hours are Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 4-8PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
