Mr. James A. Carr, Jr. Age 76 died on Thursday, October 2, 2008 in the Caritas Norwood Hospital, Norwood, Massachusetts. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on May 9, 1932 to His parents James A. and Julia (Folan) Carr.

Mr. Carr made the United States Air Force his career. He had served in Korea and Vietnam, before spending the end of his career in Europe. He was discharged and moved to Walpole in 1972. Mr. Carr was the Maintenance Supervisor for the Flatley Company for 15 years and he retired in 1991. He then took a job at Grossman's and was a lumber salesman for 10 years retiring in 2001. Most recently he helped his son James A. Carr III , with his business; Carr Landscape and Tree.

Mr. Carr is an active member of the Knights of Columbus Walpole Council 1319, Member of the Massachusetts D.A.V. and a Life Member of the Sergeants Association.

Beloved husband of the late Olive G. (Mordey) Carr Loving father of James A. Carr, III and Debra Ann Carr both of Walpole Cherished grandfather of Emily, Kimberly, Stephanie, Cody, Austin and Dakota. Brother of Shirley M. Comeau of Walpole and the late Lorraine A. Smith

Relatives and friends are kindly invited at attend the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Monday morning at 9AM. Visiting hours are Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Knollwood Memorial Park Canton, Massachusetts. Memorial donations may be made to Caritas Good Samaritan Hospice 3 Edgewater Drive Norwood, Massachusetts 02062.
