James Herbert Brewer, age 59, passed away in the Hope Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on October 21, 1957, he was the son of the late Herbert L. Brewer and Furena A. Russo. He was raised in Walpole, Massachusetts and graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1976.
After graduation, James took a position with the Endicott Estate in Dedham working as a chef. He went on to work in the Copley Plaza Hotel working in the kitchen. As a very caring man, in 1988, James began working as a health aide at the Wrentham Developmental Center, dedicating 27 years of his life to caring for others. He retired in 2015.
He was a very gifted artist, creating beautiful drawings and crocheting baby blankets whenever his friends or family welcomed a newborn. James had a passion for woodworking and enjoyed refinishing various pieces of furniture. He loved animals and especially loved being surrounded by his cats at home. James will be most missed for his great sense of humor and his heart of gold.

Loving brother of Michael W. Russo of Walpole and Peggy Anne Brewer of Badin, North Carolina.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend James' Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 4-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. Interment will take place privately in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Hope Hospice Center, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
