James M. Avery

Mr. James M. Avery age 90 years died in the Southwood @ Norwell Nursing Center, in Norwell, Massachusetts on Thursday Morning, June 5th, 2008. born in Holderness, New Hampshire, on July 1st, 1917, the son of the late Lewis and Stella (Smith) Avery. after completing high school Mr. Avery entered the United States Army and served his country during World War II in the European and African Theaters.

A resident of Dennis for the past 35 years, moving there permanently from Walpole.

He was a retired finishman, having worked at Bird & Sons in East Walpole for over 25 years.

Beloved husband of the late Mary K. (Morini) Avery Loving father of Margaret Percy of Cataumet, Kathleen Fedorchuk of N. Easton, Jane Avery of Scituate, J. Brian Avery of Ellisworth, ME, and the late John J. Avery. Cherished grandfather of Chris Percy, Katherine Percy, Jennifer Buchanan, John Harrison Avery, Maureen Fedorchuk, and James Brian Avery. great grandfather of Benjamin Buchanan.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Rt 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Monday, June 9, 2008 @ 10AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, June 8, 2008 from 3 pm to 7pm in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Saint Francis Cemetery Walpole.
