Jacqueline A. "Jackie" Penza

February 20, 1959 — March 3, 2018

Jacqueline A. "Jackie" Penza, age 59, passed away in the Rose Monahan Hospice House in Worcester, Massachusetts on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on February 20, 1959, she was the daughter of Robert T. and Dorothy A. (Hughes) Commerford. She spent her early years in Norwood, before her family settled in South Walpole in 1968. Jackie graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1978 and was a proud member of the Norwood Debonnaier's Drum Corps, participating in many Drum Corps International Competitions.

Jackie married the love of her life, Kevin M. Penza, on September 22, 1979 in Blessed Sacrament Church in Walpole. The young couple initially made their home together in Canton, Massachusetts before moving to Foxborough, where they spent the next 7 years. Jackie and Kevin returned to their home town of Walpole, where they raised their family.

Jackie's kindhearted ways led her to a career in helping others. She worked at the Maple Grove Nursing Home, the Hellenic Nursing Home in Canton, Charlwell House in Norwood, and New Pond Village in Walpole. Later, she worked at the Old Country Buffet in Walpole before taking a position with Lifeline in Framingham, working as a Response Associate.

Family was most important to Jackie, as she spent every minute she could with them and loved providing a home cooked meal for everyone. As a devoted and loving wife, Jackie and Kevin loved spending time together, frequenting air shows at Quonset and Pease Air Force Base, taking cruises, as well as keeping up their tradition of Friday night dinner dates. While Fridays were reserved for Kevin, Jackie reserved every Sunday morning for her family, always looking for a new restaurant to try for breakfast. Jackie was delighted when she welcomed her grandchildren, always attending their athletic and school events. She was sure to never miss a birthday or holiday party with her family, treasuring every moment that she was surrounded by those she loved.

Jackie had a wonderful spirit, her kindhearted and strong ways, helped her through all of the difficult times in her life. She was constantly giving back to her community and even up until her passing, she was pushing to introduce the Angel Program to Walpole, helping young adults overcome the powers of addiction.
