Jacqueline M. Maguire

Jacqueline M. Maguire, age 75, passed away in her Mendon, Massachusetts home on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Born in Newport, Rhode Island on July 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Lucille A. "Sally" (Mailhiot) Maguire. Jackie spent her early years in Norwood, Massachusetts before settling with her family in Walpole, Massachusetts. She graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1961 and continued her education at the Katherine Gibbs School.

Jackie married William S. Richard in 1963, and the young couple initially had a small apartment together in Walpole, before buying their first home together in Franklin, Massachusetts only a few years later. After their wedding, Jackie returned to school, completing night courses at Northeastern University. After saving enough money to build the home they always wanted, Jackie and Bill finally settled on Baker Street in Walpole, where Jackie took a hands-on role in designing their new house.

In 1979, Jackie moved to Foxborough, Massachusetts and began taking classes to earn her Realtor's License. She went on to take a position with Hunneman-Hutchinson, selling homes to and for her clients for many years. In addition to her work in real estate, Jackie spent several years working as an administrative assistant at Raytheon. In her later years, Jackie spent some time living in Hopedale before finally settling into her home in Mendon. She particularly loved this house in Mendon, as it was very peaceful, well shaded with many trees & located right next to a stream that she could hear all day.

Throughout her life, Jackie loved spending time in nature, observing all its beauty. She frequently traveled around New England taking in all the natural sights and especially loved visiting the state of Maine. While at home, Jackie loved caring for her many cats and dogs over the years, and she loved them all equally.

Most of all, Jackie was dedicated to her family. She spent countless hours surrounded by her children and grandchildren, cherishing every minute.

Cherished grandmother of Bianca Pavone, Alyssa Pavone, Stephen Rose, Erin Richard, and Kevin Richard and great grandmother of Michael Puckerin.
Devoted sister of Annette Burns of Rockport, Sheila Kiff of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and the late Michael F. Maguire.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jackie's Life Celebration on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:00 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church, 10 Diamond Street, Walpole on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery in Walpole.
