MRS. IRENE (Jakobowski) SMITH AGE 74 YEARS DIED AT THE HARRINGTON HOUSE NURSING HOME , WALPOLE, MASSACHUSETTS on Saturday, APRIL 15, 2006. Born on November 28, 1931 in Norwood, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Adam & Sophie (Lebowski) Jakobowski. A 1949 graduate of Norwood High School.

She had lived in Walpole for over 50 years. She started out working at Raytheon in Norwood as an assembler and left there as an Inspector for electronic , she then worked at Telco Systems in Norwood as an inspector and retired from there.

An avid reader. She loved her dog Jake.

Beloved wife of the late William A. Smith Loving mother of Wayne E. Smith of Walpole, and Steven J. Smith of North Attleboro. Cherished grandmother of Lindsay G. Smith and Jenna L. Smith both of North Attleboro. Sister of the late Walter Jakobowski, the late Peter Jakobowski, and the late Sophie Djerf

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 from 5 to 8PM in James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
