Irene V. McAuliffe

Mrs. Irene V. (Lamore) McAuliffe died in the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester, Massachusetts on Tuesday, April 24th, 2007. She was 93. Born on October 26, 1913, in Walpole Massachusetts , the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary Ann (Roy) Lamore.

A resident of Winchester, she had lived in Lexington for 22 years , and in Norwood for over 30 years.

Mrs McAuliffe retired from the Norwood Public Schools in 1978, having worked there for over 10 years as a secretary.

She loved to travel, and to summer in Barnstable, but her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy.

Beloved wife of the Late William P. McAuliffe Loving mother of William P. McAuliffe, Jr. & his wife Claudia of Nashua, NH, Kathleen P. Maloney and her husband Jack of Lexington, Jeanne E. Garcia de Paredes of Herkimer, New York, and Gerard R. McAuliffe of Bradenton, Florida. Cherished grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2 Predeceased by 6 Brothers and sisters Also survived by several nieces and nephews

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in the Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Rt 27) @ Diamond Street Walpole on Friday Morning, April 27, 2007 @ 10:00 AM. Visiting hours are Friday Morning Only , April 27, 2007 from 8:30 to 9:30AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.
