Herbert C. Lang

Herbert C. Lang, 84, died peacefully on June 19, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia M. (Cashen) Lang, and son of the late Phillip L. and Amelia (Pescuma) Lang. He was pre deceased by his brothers Phillip, Eddie, Earl, Billy, and his sister Eileen. Born in Norfolk, MA on May 10, 1928, he was the third youngest of eleven siblings. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Donald, Eleanor, Thelma, Georgia, and Lawrie. He leaves his children Shawn, Heidi, Gretchen, Tiger, and Tricia, and his nine grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan, and Patrick Cronin; Cassidy, Hailey, Trey, and Zoe Lang; Corbett Lang; and Skyler Lang Barry. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and good friends.

Herbie was an avid outdoorsman who had beautiful flower and vegetable gardens which were a constant source of competition and chatter with his brothers Billy and Earl. He loved the outdoors and spent a lot of great times deer hunting with his dear friends in Western, MA, and later in Maine at the Prevett's Camp. He was a great fan of the Pats, Bruins, and Red Sox and was lucky to have seen the Sox win the series!

He will be dearly remembered for his love of family and friends, and the great generosity of his spirit.

The visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 4-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10AM in Saint Jude's Church 86 Main Street Norfolk. Interment will be in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
