Helena T. Glennon

Helena T. (Cummings) Glennon age 88 years died in Norwood, MA on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Born in Benedicta, Maine on September 14, 1921; she was the daughter of the late Dennis and Mary Cummings. Graduating from Benedicta High School and Business School in Maine she eventually accepted a position in Boston with the Boston and Maine Railroad. It was in Boston at a Navy Dance where she met her husband John and in 1954 and was married until his death in 1998. She has been a resident of Norwood, MA for the past 5 years after 21 years in Natick, MA.

A devoted mother and wife Helena always put her Catholic Faith and Family first. She demonstrated boundless love thru her husbands long illness and took joy and comfort in her grandchildrens many blessings.

Beloved wife of the late John M. Glennon. Loving mother of Dennis J. Glennonand mother-in-law to Deborah A. Valenza-Glennon. Cherished grandmother of Kelly (Glennon) Crabbe, Michael Glennon and Brian Glennon all of Walpole. Sister of Mary Thomas of Duxbury and Dorothy Carollo of Brewster, NY. God mother of Laurie LaFebvre. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at Saint Linus Church 119 Hartford Street Natick on Monday, May 10, 2010 at 9AM. Visiting hours are Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 5-7PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Patricks Cemetery in Natick, Massachusetts.
