Helen A. Thomas

Helen A. (O'Donnell) Thomas age 76 years died in her Walpole home on Saturday, March 1, 2008. Born in Syracuse, New York on July 10, 1931 to her parents William & Margaret (Thompson) O'Donnell, she graduated from Norwood High School with the class of 1949. She went on to graduate from Saint Elizabeth's Nursing School with the class of 1952. She had been living in Walpole for the past 50 years.

She worked as a pediatric nurse in the Caritas Norwood Hospital for 24 years.

She loved traveling.

Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Thomas. Loving mother of Richard W. Thomas of IA, Margaret M. DiMascio of Mansfield, and Mark J. Thomas of E. Walpole. Cherished grandmother of 6. Sister of Jane Schwamb of Mattapoisett, Robert O'Donnell of Falmouth, Margie Peckham of RI, and the late Eleanor Manning. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Mass that will be celebrated at Saint Catherine's Church Washington Street at Nahatan Street, Norwood on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 9AM. Visiting hours are Tuesday, March 4, 2008 from 4-8 PM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment in Saint Francis Cemetery, Walpole.
