Helen A. Tately, age 93, of Hyde Park, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Edith (Sein) Chapski. She was raised in Roslindale, graduating from Roslindale HIgh School with the Class of 1944. Following her graduation, Helen took various accounting classes at Boston University and took a position with the Mass Indemnity Life Insurance Company.
Helen married her beloved husband, Warren F. Tately on May 6, 1956 and together they made their home in Hyde Park. Helen left her career with the insurance company, taking on the role of a homemaker, raising and caring for her son, Skip. After Skip had grown up, Helen returned to her career, taking a position with General Cinema, working as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 1973.

Cherished grandmother of Pamela C. Aube and her husband, Brandon, of West Bridgewater, Carilyn M. Cannon and her husband, Seth, of Bourne, and Gregory P. Tately and his fiance, Gabrielle, of Foxborough and great grandmother of Tyler, Andrew, Brooke, Brian, Keira, Kate, and Nathan.
Sister of the late Peter Chapski.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Helen's Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated in Saint Pius X Church, 101 Wolcott Road, Milton on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 10:30 AM.
